This Is Not a Government or Law Enforcement Office. We run a private reference site. We cannot confirm whether a warrant exists, recall or clear a warrant, post bond, arrange a surrender, or give legal advice for anyone. For any of those, you need to reach the sheriff's warrant unit or the issuing court directly.

The Sheriff’s Office accepts written records requests through its FOIA page or at requests@iowso.com. Virginia FOIA requests seek existing records; the agency does not have to create a new record to answer a question. The Sheriff says it prefers written requests and responds within five working days, with a possible additional seven working days when needed. Fees may reflect actual costs, and a deposit may be requested when estimated charges exceed $200. Contact the office to confirm current procedures before visiting.
For a court docket, use the Virginia Online Case Information System as a starting point, then ask the issuing clerk to confirm the current public record. Smithfield’s warrant page is a town police resource, not a substitute for court confirmation. Windsor Police has no public warrant list located in the official resources reviewed.
